Weekly Wedding Trivia - June Weddings

For centuries the month of June has been the most poplar month for weddings.  But the original reason might surprise you!  During the 1400's and 1500's May was the month in which the "annual Bath" occurred.  Odd as it sounds, people back then only thoroughly bathed and cleaned up once a year.  As such, since everyone was smelling relatively nice and fresh in the June, this was a good time to hold a wedding or special event.
